A highly distinctive highland species from Sarawak, easily recognized by the numerous black nectar glands that cover nearly all parts of the plant. It produces sturdy, woody pitchers with a cream-colored base and prominent dark purple or red blotching. This species shows excellent vigor under standard highland/intermediate conditions and develops a notable indumentum (hairiness) as it matures.
